I bought into this subscription because I live in Washington DC and thought the buildings looked fantastic. In reality they are even better, they are stunning! They cost about $60 (incl. shipping) and you can pay $20 at a time to break out the cost. Each new building ships after you've paid the full $60 (3 payments) for the previous one but there are gaps in delivery as the artists make new models. The only issue i had with the collection is they don't tell you in advance which new buildings are coming and now that all the more famous ones are covered, its hard to know what to expect next. So far I have 1) White House with Obama's 2) Lincoln Memorial (with Obama's) 3) Capitol Hill 4) Jefferson Memorial 5) Washington Monument 6) National Cathedral and just this week received the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. This last one threw me and took me a little while to decide if i liked it as all the other models are sparkling white in color (not just because of the snow but the buildings are true to real life color. The Tomb on the other hand looked dirty at first and didn't seem true to reality (being a regular visitor to Arlington I found myself thinking "that's not the color of it!!". Once lit up however its got the same beautiful glow as all the other buildings. The lighting is well placed in each model and really does give a magical Christmas feel to the collection. I have a black table that I put them on with small miniature white Christmas trees that i put around them to give it a real street feel. The workmanship on these is first class and clearly is done with detail and quality in mind. I'd love them to be more forthcoming about future models so am writing to the Bradford Exchange (where I have my subscription) to find out whats on the cards for 2012 now that all the famous buildings are done - hopefully the Pentagon will feature this year as I love that building!! Highly recommend for anyone who loves Washington DC
