We used these ornaments during a birthday party for Jesus in December. I bought some other craft items and the kids filled the ornaments and decorated them. Then after Christmas was done, I had my kids write what their favorite present was and something special about the season. Then we put the note in the ornament to save it like a time capsule until next year. I plan to do this each year with each kid so we can create a tradition and review our time capsules every Christmas season. These ornaments hold together well too so that was a bonus!
